My "Wedding Planner Debut"

As a wedding planner stepping into my very first wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a more magical day than Taylor and Spencer’s celebration. While this was my debut as a planner, I had previously coordinated one wedding (see K+J's Caso Station blog post!) and weddings have long been a part of my life through my years of photography. But stepping into this new planner role brought an entirely fresh perspective—and an unforgettable experience.

The Ceremony

Taylor and Spencer’s wedding day was a picture of charm, love, and joy from start to finish. Taylor’s family, who are an absolute pleasure to work with, opened their hearts and their home, making the day even more meaningful and fulfilling Taylor's dream of getting married on "The Farm". The ceremony was held on their beautiful family property, with a serene pond as the backdrop. Adding a unique and symbolic touch, Taylor and Spencer chose a tree planting for their ceremonial element — a beautiful representation of their growing love and commitment. The perfect sunny, warm June day only added to the beauty of the setting—intimate, sentimental, and genuine. You could feel the love and connection in every detail.

The Reception

After the heartfelt “I do’s,” we transitioned to a nearby hall for the reception. With the help of an incredible team of vendors, we transformed the space into a stunning wedding venue. White pipe and drape framed the room, while candles lit the tables and Edison lights strung from the ceiling added a warm, inviting glow, creating an elegant and romantic atmosphere. At the center was the rustic sweetheart table, decorated with florals and charming rustic pieces, elevated on a stage set in front of a twinkle light backdrop. The loose greenery centerpieces down the center of the tables was a feature that tied in the magic of the farm’s natural beauty with the reception’s elegant ambiance. No detail was forgotten including the outside patio space at the hall where we hung chandeliers to elevate the space. The final result was a venue that was the perfect extension of the farm, the perfect blend of country charm and elegance.

The Feeling

Throughout the day, one thing stood out: the endless smiles and laughter. From the moment Taylor walked down the aisle to the final dance of the evening, the joy was palpable. It was a thrill to guide Taylor through her planning process and then to bring every detail to life on their big day.

The Colour Palatte

The color palette for the day was one of my absolute favorites: soft greens, whites, and a touch of blush. The bridesmaids were given the freedom to find the perfect dress for them, in any shade of soft green. The result was both cohesive and personal, completely suiting for the day. Not only was this colour palatte stunning, but also perfectly complemented the charming summer country elegance of the wedding. The palette brought a fresh, romantic feel through the details, the attire, the florals and decor.

Special Touches

Throughout the planning process, Taylor and Spencer always had their guests experience in mind. They wanted to provide a beautiful, unforgettable day for themselves and their guests where guests felt cared for and they went above and beyond to do just that. From a glass of champagne waiting for each guest as they entered cocktail hour to the mouthwatering appetizers and incredible charcuterie spread, every detail was planned with thoughtfulness and intention for their guests. This intention continued throughout the evening with an unforgettable meal that included on-site fired crème brûlée dessert, a lively night of dancing and socializing, and even a photobooth where guests could capture and take home tangible memories of the day. Taylor and Spencer’s thoughtfulness created a warm and inviting atmosphere that left their guests feeling cherished and part of something truly special.

The Vendors

None of this would have been possible without the amazing vendors who brought their expertise and artistry to the table. Schwartzentruber Music Services kept the dance floor lively all evening. Lyric Flowers delivered breathtaking florals that elevated both the ceremony and reception spaces. Culinary Catering delighted everyone with an incredible dinner, while The Wine Cellar’s charcuterie spread and The Flour Mill’s appetizers added a touch of indulgence to the cocktail hour. NJS Design provided the rentals that made the space shine, from the elegant linens to the twinkle light backdrop. The Artist Collective ensured Taylor and her bridal party looked absolutely radiant with their hair and makeup artistry. And last but certainly not least, Nina Polidoro Photography captured every emotion-filled moment with stunning perfection, as you are seeing in the photos on the blog post - with most of them being her captures.

In Closing

As I reflect on Taylor and Spencer’s wedding, I’m filled with gratitude for this experience. It was a day I’ll never forget, and it reaffirmed my passion for creating unforgettable celebrations. My hope for every couple that I work with, is that I get to help them create something as absolutely incredible and meaningful as this day was to Taylor and Spencer. May you get to feel the love and joy surrounded by your dearest family and friends, all while celebrating in a space that perfectly and beautifully suits you. To every couple out there dreaming of their perfect day, know that your vision is possible with the right team and a little magic.
